After more than four years managing sales for an automotive publisher in Southern California, Jay (a self-described “car guy”) and his wife, Christina, decided it was time to improve their quality of life. Naturally, this meant a move back to Roseville, where they could be near family so they could start a family of their own. By 2004, Jay realized that he was ready for a change in his career and decided to transfer his people and service skills to a Real Estate business from a career in print media where he was a sales manager for Primedia, responsible for the growth of Import Tuner Magazine. The only things Jay likes more than cars are houses, so it made complete sense.

Jay knew that there would be lots of competition and that he would have to be exceptional to be successful. Failure was not an option, as he had a family at home depending on his success. He knew he had to give the best service to build the relationships needed to make it in this business. “Every time someone entrusts me to help them sell or buy a home, I consider that a blessing from God,” says Jay.

After starting his real estate career in January 2005, Jay began his team in 2008 to help serve his clients better. Jay’s team soon grew from 2 team members to 4, and beyond. After more than 16 years in this business, I knew it was time to amplify things further and offer even more to his clients and the community so Jay joined up with Gail DeMarco and Val Turner to build the Turner DeMarco + Friedman Real Estate Team in 2021.

“Now all of us are in even better positions to share our skills and experinces with our clients,” he says. “This is an impressive, highly trained, and very talented team of Realtors. I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”

Given his ongoing referrals from current and past clients, Jay works the whole Sacramento Valley but loves when he gets the opportunity to work close to home in areas such as Granite Bay, Roseville, Rocklin, and Loomis.

His clients and business partners know Jay as a local area expert. They know that Jay always treats his clients' homes as if they are his own, applying the golden rule to each client relationship. Having grown up in Roseville, raising his kids in Roseville/ Granite Bay, and working the valley since January 2005, Jay possesses the experience and insight to represent clients across the entire Greater Sacramento Area.

“I truly love this area. I pride myself on understanding each corner of it and the ways that different communities can meet different buyers’ and families’ needs.” he says. “When I’m working with sellers, it’s fun to put that knowledge to use to target our marketing to the perfect buyer.”

Jay’s humility and genuine care for others define his approach to real estate and the relationships he’s built in the community. “My clients’ success is my success; that’s all that matters. It is a win-win,” says Jay. In both his personal life and his professional life, Jay is grateful every day.

“Next to my family and friends, my greatest passions are traveling, enjoying our boat, playing with cars, and helping my clients with their real estate needs.

“We need to enjoy this great gift called Life,” he adds. “It’s a good life and every day is a blessing. We should make the best of each of those days, making great memories in every one of them. We don’t get any do-overs!”
